France's A400M military aircraft carries out first firefighting mission
A military transport plane deployed by the French government on Saturday to help fight wildfires carried out its first firefighting mission, AFP journalists saw. The A400M military aircraft, equipped with a dispensing kit that can release 20 tonnes of water or fire retardant, flew over a forest fire in Lacanau in southwest France, leaving a vivid orange plume in its wake.

Taiwan tracks 10 Chinese ships, 4 military aircraft
The Ministry of National Defense tracked seven naval vessels, three official ships, and four military aircraft between 6 a.m. on Saturday and the same time Sunday. In response, Taiwan deployed aircraft, naval ships, and coastal-based missile systems.
