USAF Picks Red 6 AR System to Train F-16 Pilots Against Virtual Enemies
The US Air Force has contracted Red 6, an augmented reality (AR) solutions company headquartered in Florida, to supply its AR system for the F-16 Fighting Falcon. With the integration of the company’s ATARS (Airborne Tactical Augmented Reality System) into the fighter aircraft, an F-16 pilot can “train against intelligent, maneuvering virtual adversaries in real-time during live flight.”
