Japan and India to conduct first-ever air combat exercises

A joint air combat exercise between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) will be held this year, the first of its kind between the two countries. According to The Senkei News, it was revealed on August 22 that the IAF and JASDF will conduct joint training exercises, the novelty of which is that it will be the first time that Japanese pilots will be tested against Russian-designed fighter jets.

Qatar receives first batch of US-made F-15 combat planes

Qatar has received its first batch of the new generation F-15 combat aircraft, produced by the United States and Boeing, in partnership with the Gulf state. The rollout took place on Wednesday in a ceremony at Boeing’s headquarters in the US state of Missouri, with the Qatari Minister of State for Defense Affairs Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah in attendance.
