U.S. State Department Backs Sale of 50 F-35 Lightning IIs to United Arab Emirates

The U.S. State Department has told Congress it approves of the potential sale of 50 Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II 5th generation aircraft to the United Arab Emirates. The potential value of the contract is reported as $10.4 billion USD.

Azerbaijan downs 2 Armenian fighter jets

Azerbaijan shot down two Armenian warplanes on Thursday, the country’s Defense Ministry said. A statement said the Armenian combat aircraft were flying over Azerbaijani positions in the Gubadli direction of the front. The ministry added that the Su-25 fighter jets were shot down on Thursday afternoon.
