A Chinese military anti-submarine (ASW) aircraft entered Taiwan's southwest air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on Saturday, while the country was celebrating its National Day, also known as Double Ten Day. According to the Ministry of National Defense (MND), the Shaanxi Y-8 ASW entered the airspace between southwest Taiwan and the Taiwan-controlled Dongsha Islands, also known as the Pratas Islands, in the South China Sea.

It may be an undeclared war of attrition designed to run Taiwan's troops and equipment into the ground. Taiwan says it has spent $1.3 billion scrambling its fighters against the most intense Chinese aggression in 30 years. Every day for more than two weeks, China's combat aircraft have breached Taiwan's air defence identification zone. Many have crossed the sensitive median line separating the mainland from the democratic island.

Boeing is aggressively pitching key allies Israel and India and even the United States the most advanced variants of F-15s. Prat Kumar, Boeing’s Vice President had recently stated that the company was in the process of responding to a request for information from Israel for up to 25 new Advanced F-15s, plus upgrades for 25 existing F-15I aircraft.
