A ‘Super’ Delivery

Marietta, Ga. June 21, 2013– The eleventh C-5M Super Galaxy departed for Dover Air Force Base, Del. from Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] facilities here today. The aircraft was flown to Delaware by Maj. Gen. Craig Neil Gourley, vice commander of the Air Force Reserve Command at Robins Air Force Base, Ga.

The C-5M is the only true strategic airlifter capable of offering the globe in one flight, unrefueled. A total of 52 Super Galaxy aircraft are scheduled to be delivered to the Air Force by 2017.
