Elmendorf-Richardson F-22 Overdue - Search Underway

The USAF website reports that a Lockheed Martin F-22, assigned to the 3rd Wing located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska, has lost contact with air traffic controllers.  The aircraft was engaged in training operations.  Last contact occurred at 7:40 P.M. Alaska time on Tuesday, November 16.

A search is being conducted to locate the aircraft and its crew.  No further details are available at this time.
